Set sail aboard Flashe, a 2002 Beneteau First 27.7 ready for your bareboat adventure from Port d'Armor in Saint-Quay-Portrieux on France's Brittany coast. This nimble 8.80-metre sloop combines the legendary handling of the First family with the comfort needed for a memorable week on the water. Flashe sleeps six across two cabins and features a single bathroom, giving a small crew plenty of room to relax between sails. Her responsive helm and well-balanced sail plan make her a joy to sail, whether you are threading through the granite-studded coastline or setting a course for an open-water passage across the bay. Saint-Quay-Portrieux is an ideal departure point: a sheltered harbour with easy access to the Côte de Granit Rose, where pink granite boulders tumble into turquoise water, and to the historic walled town of Saint-Malo and the Îles de Bréhat. Days are spent tacking along the coast, anchoring in quiet coves, and exploring fishing villages with fresh seafood markets. Evenings bring golden sunsets over the water and the satisfaction of a well-earned meal in a harbour-side restaurant. Flashe offers an accessible yet spirited introduction to Brittany sailing, perfect for couples, friends, or families who want the freedom to chart their own course along one of Europe's most rewarding cruising grounds.
